Frequently Asked Questions

Your Questions, Answered.

Below you will find answers to several frequently asked questions, organized by category. If you are looking for tutorials on how to use the app or your account, you’ll find them here. If you still need help, reach out to us here.

Setup

-Can I add or remove players from my team? Yes. The coach needs to send an invitation to the player, and the player needs to accept. See the tutorial.

-Does every player need their own account? : Yes. The coach has their own account, and each individual player will need to create their own profile and account in order to properly track their progress. These accounts can be paid for and licensed by the coach or the player.

-Do I lose access to my data if I downgrade or cancel my account? : Yes. Your data is not deleted for a period of 6 months, and at any time you can reactivate your account and get access again. After a 6 month period without and active account however, your data is removed from the system.

-Can I share my account amongst multiple people? : Unfortunately no. The app tracks your metrics and progress, and if you have different people using the same account, your data will become skewed.

Training

-What can I do to get the most accurate results? First, make sure your account profile is set up with accurate information. During training, make sure you are in a well lit area, your entire body is in the app frame, and that the white line on the screen is touching the bottom of your toes at the beginning of the motion. In addition, make sure there are no people beside or behind you in the frame that are being picked up by the app (you can identify who is being picked up by the blue lines overlaid on the body in the app).

-Can I set up my own drills and conditions for my team? If you have the premium subscription, Yes. See tutorials. Both coaches and players have the ability to customize conditions and drills, but only coaches have the ability to share their content with others.

-Is there a difference between using the front and back camera on my device? You can use both the front and back cameras with the app, however the camera frame rate will affect the accuracy of results. The front camera on an iPhone and iPad is limited in its frame rate, however using the front camera allows you to set up a tripod and watch your training session in progress. For the most accurate results, using the back camera is preferred. But both provide sufficient quality for analyses.

-Does it matter if the camera is in portrait or landscape mode? The orientation of the camera does not matter, however you need to have the player’s entire body in the frame during the entire motion of the exercise. You can choose which orientation works better for you.

-Can I delete training sessions? All training sessions are automatically saved into your account and cannot be deleted. You do not have to save the video, however the results will remain in your assessment.

-Can I upload a previously recorded session? Or does it have to be live? You can upload a previously recorded training session straight into the app. The quality and angle of the video are going to affect the results. In the drill menu, there is an option to either use your camera or to upload a video.

-Can I use this app offline? The app cannot be used without an internet connection. If necessary, you can record your training session when offline and upload the video into the app later, see above.

-Are there any training tools we need to use the app? All you need to use the Vizn Performance app is you and your device. Training sessions are more realistic when completed with your normal training gear such as a glove and ball. In addition, a tripod helps provide a steady camera for recording. Some drills may require additional equipment, such as a towel, but they will be specified within the drill.

Troubleshooting

-Why can’t I login on the application on my device? You need an active account in order to access the data in the application. You can create an account and manage your account settings here. Once in the app on your device, make sure you are using the same email and password you created.

-Why is my video not capturing the data points? After starting a drill or assessment in the app, you should see green dots and blue lines on top of your body in the frame. Make sure you are in a well lit area and that you are using a camera with settings at the highest frame rate possible (these can be adjusted in the settings in the app by clicking on the frame rate icon when using the back camera. The front camera cannot be adjusted.)

Account

-Can I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my account? Yes. All changes to subscriptions must be made online through your account settings. Log in to your account profile here and adjust your subscriptions. Make sure you make any downgrades or cancellations at least 3 days before any auto-renewal. If you cancel or downgrade after already paying through month end, you will continue to have access until that period expires.

-How do I change my billing information? Login to your account and update the account settings and billing information online.

-Can my account sync between different devices? Yes, your data can be accessed from your account on any device. You can log into your account from the application on any device, anywhere, and have the information synced automatically.
